Fastman Raiderman

Whew-weee

Sunday, October 22nd, 2006

It has been a while since my last post - a shame really especially when people like Joe from Vancouver are often sitting around wondering “where is that guy?” and “do toenails really grow slower than fingernails?”. Here I am and yes Joe, toenails grow slower than fingernails.

It is the CJSW Funding Drive right now and things are going great. This week there are some great events happening like the “Name that Tune’ at Bamboo Lounge/Drum and Monkey Pub on 12 Avenue and 1st Street SW Monday night and the Hair Metal Cover Night at the Liberty Lounge at Mount Royal College this Friday.  Go to http://www.cjsw.com/ for all the scoop and skinny. Pledge on-line or call in at 403-220-8224.

You know it is time for bed when you rent ‘The Ringer’. Not as bad as I thought it could be but then again, what does one honestly expect when Johnny Knoxville is playing a guy trying to cover some debts by winning a medal in the Special Olympics?

1986-2002 Prisoners Of Love

It’s Wednesday

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

It’s Wednesday and I just heard that David Bowie - aka ‘The Thin White Duke’ - will be making a guest appearance on ‘Spongebob Squarepants’. No word yet if Iggy Pop will be joining Spongebob and Bowie under the sea but I certainly hope Iggy avoids wearing his plastic pants. He wouldn’t want to get crabs in there…

CJSW Funding Drive is just about to “giver”. It all starts Friday October 20 at 9am and runs through to Friday October 27 at 6pm. Check out www.cjsw.com over the next few days to see the swag this year and what great events we have planned for the week. Highlights will be posted soon.

Tubby Dog’s Oktoberfest is this Thursday October 12. DJ Crag and the Brebec Boys will be oompa oompa pa-pa-ing from 8pm on. Wear something nice - in green - and don’t forget your dancing shoes. I plan on heading down after Wordfest

Lastly, got a chance to interview the Right Honorable Adrienne Clarkson, former Governor General from 1999-2005 today. Listen to CJSW to find out when this interview will take place.
